I'm Captain Sam Hammond, boating professional and ocean enthusiast.  I grew up in England and have worked on and around the Santa Barbara Channel for the last 20 years.​

 

I created Shipshape Boat Service to enable locals and visitors to enjoy the ocean with peace of mind in the reliability of their vessel.  My goal is to simplify the boat ownership experience by removing the obstacles that are preventing you from getting on the water this weekend, while creating community along the way.

 

As boat owners that are also working professionals, we are often forced to decide between boat maintenance and getting out on the water.  The priority often leans to having fun, which is why we bought our boats in the first place.  At Shipshape Boat Service, I want you to do that; I also want you to head out with the knowledge that you are operating a well maintained boat.  A boat that has everything it needs and is not going to leave you calling BoatUS from Santa Rosa Island.

 

​I provide a fixed rate system with no surprises.  Whether you need an oil change or opt for the monthly maintenance program, I'll give you full transparency with reports of the tasks completed and any associated data.
